OSCA was inspired by the success of the Beacon Hill Village that began as a group of central Boston neighbors seeking to support each other stay in their home. Initially sponsored by the Noank Baptist Church, the Charles B. Allyn Foundation, the Rotary Club of Mystic and other local clubs, foundations and individuals, the association plans to become an independent non-profit corporation with a board elected by its members.
